Socratic Dialogues on Math

 

 

Student:    So what is this?

Professor:  If you scroll down, you’ll see a list of Socratic Dialogues that I have on mathematical subjects.  Right now the list is a bit short, but I’m currently working on putting more on here.

Student:    Oh okay, I’ll see what you have.

 

 

Parametric Equations:  “I had no problem with x and y coordinates.  Why did graphing a function have to get so complicated all of a sudden with the introduction of parametric equations?”

 

Polar Equations:  “I really don’t see how polar equations work, or how they could possibly have any benefit when the x/y stuff seems to work just fine.”
