HeadshotChristy Witt is currently a doctoral student in agricultural education at Texas Tech University. She is a recipient of the 2009 TTU Doctoral Fellowship Initiative. She is currently working as part of “The Educational Effectiveness of Utilizing Second Life (SL) in Teaching Graduate-level Agricultural Crisis Communications” Project in association with the University of Arkansas and Texas A&M University.


Mrs. Witt earned her B.S. in agricultural education from the University of Missouri-Columbia, where she was named 2004 CAFNR Outstanding Junior and received the 2005 Mizzou ’39 Outstanding Senior Award. In 2008, she earned her M.Ed. in gifted education from Drury University.


Mrs. Witt taught middle school science, math, and gifted at Pierce City Middle School in southwest Missouri for 4 years before starting at Texas Tech.
