Primnoa resedaeformis Lamouroux 1812 For over 150 years Primnoa was the name used when referring to a genus of Eurasian grasshoppers or a deep water red tree coral. In 2003 two aspiring Orthopterists (i.e. Ito 2003, Mayer 2004) working in separate parts of the world, both realized the need for a nomenclatural change with regard to Primnoa (Orthoptera).
