I have obtained a Bachelor's and a Master’s degree in Religious Studies from ASU. Contrary to what many people seem to think, this degree has nothing to do with preparing to be a religious member/leader, but rather it is about the study of religion in all cultures (including how it relates to other topics/fields, such as Politics, History, Psychology, the media, anthropology, etc). I also hold a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Multimedia Writing and Technical Communication. I am currently in the online PhD program in Technical Communication and Rhetoric at Texas Tech University. I have created much online educational content and have instructed in both a classroom and online setting. My pertinent background began with graphic design/desktop publishing. I have held many other positions relevant to technical writing and multimedia communication, including technical support for the Cisco academy website and creating tutorials and course content for an academic portal system. Formerly, I was the Managing Editor and Instructional Designer for Corpedia Education. I am currently an adjunct faculty member in the Multimedia Writing and Technical Communicaiton program at Arizona State University Polytechnic Campus. My personal interests include podcasting, elearning, visual communication, music (many aspects to that interest), and classic British motorcycles. However, most interests have taken a back-burner, to the most amazing, wonderful gift I have ever received; my daughter, who just turned 2-years-old. She is absolutely beautiful and engaging and has something new to teach me each day.
